The Countries participating in the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum sign a declaration on cooperation in the fields of higher education, training, researc

On the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum, which is hosted in the Italian capital Rome, a joint declaration on the Erasmus Plus program for scientific and student exchange among Italy, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco was signed, on Friday, December 1, 2017. The declaration signed by the Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on the Egyptian side, aims at strengthening the cultural and civilizational frameworks between the north and the south of the Mediterranean by expanding the channels of student exchange with the Italian universities. MFA official Spokesperson, Counselor Ahmed Abu Zeid said the declaration reflects the importance of student and youth dialogue in fostering the climate of tolerance and mutual acceptance and preventing the culture of violence and extremism., since it includes a package of measures that would be taken to develop the programs of scientific exchange, offering scholarships for southern Mediterranean students, who wish to study the Erasmus program in European countries in general and Italy in particular.
