General Guidelines For Egyptians in Russia
Egypt’s MFA Official Spokesperson Counselor Ahmed Abu Zeid denied news about an Egyptian proposal presented to Ethiopia to exclude Sudan from GERD negotiations, considering the news absolutely false and baseless.
Abu Zeid added that the Egyptian proposal to invite the World Bank to participate as an impartial party in the GERD’s Tripartite National Committee (TNC) negotiations, has also been submitted to Sudan. He added that Egypt is awaiting the official response from both Ethiopia and Sudan on the proposal at the earliest convenience.
Egypt’s MFA Spokesperson called on the press and media outlets to be cautious against publishing rumors and undocumented information and to rely on official positions expressed by States; highlighting in this context the official statement issued by Egypt’s MFA after the recent visit by Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to Ethiopia, which clearly articulated Egypt’s intention to submit the World Bank participation proposal to Sudan within days.
