Egypt expresses condolences over victims of Ukrainian plane crash

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on January 8, 2020, the Arab Republic of Egypt expressed its sincere condolences and sympathies over the victims of the Ukrainian passenger plane that crashed after taking off from Tehran’s international airport, resulting in the death of 176 people.

​The statement also affirmed that the Egyptian government and people stand with the government and people of friendly Ukraine in this situation.
