Egypt provides assistance to Zimbabwe to counter the cyclone effects

As part of Egypt's role in the African continent stemmed from its historical duty to stand by its African brethren, and regarding its decision to provide assistance consisting of shelter tents, food and medical aid in order to deal with the effects of the cyclone which affected Mozambique, Malawi and Zimbabwe, Egypt's Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Ambassador Mohamed Fahmy, received two military aircrafts that delivered the Egyptian aid provided to sisterly Zimbabwe, in the presence of the Minister and the Deputy Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing of Zimbabwe, as well as senior officials from Zimbabwe’s Foreign Ministry and Air Defense Forces.


The Deputy Minister of Local Government delivered a speech in which she expressed her country's gratitude for the Egyptian assistance, and emphasized the fraternal relations between the two sisterly countries, stressing the importance of joint African action to face these challenges. On his part, Ambassador Fahmy stressed in his address the solidarity of the Egyptian government and people with the government and brotherly people of Zimbabwe, pointing out Egypt's permanent support for Zimbabwe and all our brothers in Africa.
