In light of the efforts deployed by the Egyptian embassies abroad in order to activate tourism to Egypt, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Poland, Ambassador Hossam Al-Qawish, received Mr. Pawel Niewiadomski, Chairman of the Polish Chamber of Tourism.

The Chairman of the Polish Chamber of Tourism said during the meeting that the Federation of Polish Tourism Companies chose Marsa Allam city to hold its recent annual conference from November 25 to December 2, 2017 under the auspices of the Governor of the Red Sea governorate. The meeting was widely welcomed and appreciated by the participants, thus making it one of the best three meetings in 14 years in which the Federation of Polish Tourism Companies organized similar conferences in many countries outside of Poland.

The Polish official pointed out that there is already a significant increase in the rate of Polish tourist bookings to Egypt for the summer season, amounting to an increase of 50% than the same period during 2017.

On the other hand, the Egyptian Ambassador in Poland stressed the need for the tourist operators in Poland to attach further attention for tourism to Egyptian destinations, and not to limit beach tourism incentives to the Red Sea cities, especially considering Egypt’s abundance with many other tourist attractions, besides the new sites that the Egyptian government intends to inaugurate soon, such as the first phase of the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the shopping city to be established at the new administrative capital, which is expected to attract those interested in shopping tourism.

Egypt’s Ambassador in Poland affirmed that he will continue his contacts with Polish officials in order to facilitate the chances of increasing Polish tourism to Egypt, and activating the joint memoranda of cooperation signed in this regard, as well as seeking to amend the Polish travel advice to Egypt.
