Egyptian – Saudi relations

 


1- the egyptian – saudi relations are considered to be a remarkable example of inter – arab relations.these brotherly relations have reached vast horizons under president mubarak and the custodian of the two holy mosques the late king fahd abdul azeez .and later, under the reign of king abdullah , the egyptian – saudi relations retained their same strong momentum .


2- the distinctive egyptian – saudi relations have been taken the form of contiuous coordination between leaders of the two countries regarding arab islamic causes espicially iraq and palestine . such coordination , which resulted in convergent positions regarding these causes , aimed to attain just solutions to these causes that would preserve the rights of iraqi and palestinian peoples and safeguard arab national security .


3- a remarkable symbol of the strong egyptian – saudi relations was the recurrent visits of egyptian and saudi officials , and the two countries leaderships in particular .in the year 2005 , president mubarak visited saudi arabia 5 times ; including the visit to attend the funeral of late fing fahd , and his participation in the extraordinary islamic summit in mecca . king abdullah visited egypt in april 2005 , and in november 2005 the recently appointed crown prince sultan bin abdul azeez visited egypt .
