Mrs. Soad M. Shalaby
RESUME Mrs. Shalaby was born in Cairo 1948. After she got a university degree in economics 1969, she started her diplomatic career where she dedicated most of her professional life to African affairs. Throughout the last three decades, Socio- economics development as well as enhancing peace and stability in Africa has been her main interest whether in her various diplomatic responsibilities or during her postgraduate studies at McGill University in Canada.

· Deputy head of the delegation of Egypt in the 6th COMESA summit held in Egypt in 2001.
· Headed the Egyptian delegation to TICAD III Ministerial Conference in Tokyo in December 2001.
· Escorted the King of Swaziland to the COMESA Economic Conference held in Cairo in February 2000 for member countries of COMESA’s Business Delegations
