It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the website of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the United Arab Emirates.

First, I would like to extend my thanks and appreciation to all who have contributed to the launching of this site, especially the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the departments concerned with supervising the Ministry's site, as well as the sites of the Egyptian diplomatic missions abroad. This has been achieved through the interest of the Ministry and the Minister in responding to the informational revolution that the world is witnessing and the need to use state of the art information technology and communications to provide data about the activities of the Foreign Ministry and its diplomatic missions abroad.

This site aims at presenting the activities performed by the embassy and the Egyptian specialized offices in the UAE, the political, economic, commercial, cultural, and informational bilateral relations between Egypt and UAE, as well as all the information needed by the Egyptian community in the UAE concerning consular services.

The site also provides a link to the official site of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which includes comprehensive data about Egypt's stance towards the local, regional and international issues, links to other relevant Egyptian ministries and institutions, and it also contains reviews about what the Egyptian media publishes.

I would also like to affirm that the Foreign Ministry sets the interests of Egyptians abroad on top of the priorities of its diplomatic missions abroad, and this acquires great interest from all the institutions in the country.

The embassy is an Egyptian territory existing to serve the Egyptian community in the country, to provide them with all consular, labor, and other services as soon as possible, and to cooperate with the relevant Emirati authorities to solve any problems while fully respecting the Emirati legal system. In this context, I would like to refer to the fact that the Egyptian Embassy is keen on communicating with the different Egyptian communities in the UAE and organizing periodical meetings with them to listen to their comments and interests and respond to them with care and attention.

Ever since I assumed office as Egyptian Ambassador in the UAE, and within the framework of the Foreign Ministry's instructions, I was keen on developing work in the consular section of the embassy through enhancing ways of communicating with the citizens who visit the consular section to perform their consular transactions as quickly as possible. Launching this site will also contribute to speeding up work in the consular section, since the site includes information about all conditions and requirements of finalizing consular transactions, as well as the necessary forms and traveling instructions. The Embassy is currently studying the possibility of performing consular transaction through express mail to save the time and the effort of the Egyptian community in the UAE. This will be announced should the proposal be implemented.

I hope that launching this site, and the information it includes, which will be update regularly, will fulfill the reader's desire in acquiring the required information regarding Egypt, the Egyptian-Emirati relations, and the consular services offered by the embassy. I would like to affirm my interest in receiving your constructive comments and valuable notes regarding the effectiveness of the new site, in order to participate together in enriching and developing it continuously to achieve the utmost benefit for all.
