Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, directed the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa to offer an urgent medical assistance to Nigeria, which includes medications and burn treatment creams. In this context, Secretary General of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, Ambassador Nevine Ashmawi, stated that the Minister's directives came after an oil pipeline has exploded in Lagos, causing the death of more than a hundred people in addition to the injury and burns of many others. The City of Lagos declared deficiency in the medications and burn creams. The Fund's Secretary General added that the assistance affirms the Minister's and Egypt's keenness to assist the brothers in Nigeria and alleviate their suffering to surpass this crisis.
