The National Research Center in collaboration with the Islamic Bank for Development, organized a training program for a group of African trainees (about 10-15) in the field of cotton production. The session, sponsored by the Egyptian Fund for Technical cooperation with Africa, was held under the sign "The White Gold is ours", and will last from 29th June to the 2nd of July 2008.
The Secretary General for Technical cooperation with Africa, Ambassador Neveen Ashmawy, stated within this context, that the Foreign Minister directed the necessity of providing technical, financial and moral assistance through the Fund to such cooperation between the National Research Center and the Islamic Bank for Development within the framework of encouraging cotton cultivation in Africa.
Cotton Cultivation will provide raw materials for textile industry and improve the quality of production which consequently raises African exports. |
