EFTCA Secretary-General receives a delegation from the technical office of the Islamic Bank in Jeddah to enhance trilateral cooperation with donor agencies

Secretary-General of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa EFTCA, Ambassador Neveen Ashmawy received a delegation from the technical office of the Islamic Bank in Jeddah, on December 2nd 2007, in the General Secretariat of the Fund,  in light of the instructions of Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit aiming at broadening the horizons of trilateral cooperation with the donor organizations and authorities, as one of the most important  techniques of increasing its resources, so as to contribute to enhancing the Egyptian role in Africa.

In this context, EFTCA Secretary-General, Ambassador Neveen Ashmawy stated that this visit aims at intensifying and deepening cooperation between the Fund and the Bank to combat poverty, disease, and to provide food in Africa, since they discussed a group of programs that aims at combating malaria, as one of the dangerous diseases that threaten the  sustainable development in Africa, as well as programs to combat blindness through confronting the disease of white water, in addition to other programs to promote humanitarian development and to build capacities in the field of nursing, and in the field of agricultural development to provide food through organizing programs in agricultural techniques to fill the food gap in Africa.

The Secretary-General outlined that the implementation of these programs is expected to be a great achievement for cooperation between the Fund and the Islamic Bank for the sake of African people.
