International and Regional Institutions express their appreciation for Egypt's role in assisting the African Countries

Ambassador Tarek Ghoneim, Secretary General of the fund received a letter of thanks from the Assistant Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Conference concerning his participation in the activities of the International Donors Conference on Promoting Food Self-Sufficiency in Niger, which was held in Doha on 12th, and 13th June 2007, and for the food aid offered by Egypt for Niger within the framework the continuous aid program for supporting Niger to face the impacts of Natural disasters.

This move came as an expression of the appreciation for the Egyptian role, represented in the Egyptian Fund for Technical cooperation with Africa, for its rapid response and contribution in providing food, medical, and logistic aids for the African brothers to overcome crisis, as well as the chronic and urgent problems.

Ambassador Tarek Ghoneim also received a letter of appreciation from the Director of the world food program office in Somalia for the second assistance that the Egyptian Government presented to the world food program in Somalia, which will help the program provide rapid food aids for the Somali People especially in the war-torn regions.

On the state level, Secretary-General received a letter of appreciation form Central Africa's First Lady regarding the logistic aid (Computers, Printer, and copier machine) that Egypt sent, in which she expressed her deep appreciation and sincere gratitude regarding the aid offered for "Monic Bozezeh for Woman and Child" institution, pointing out that this aid is a reflection of the continuous support and the growing cooperation that Egypt has with Central Africa.

In this Context, Secretary-General of the Egyptian Fund for technical cooperation with Africa, Ambassador Tarek Ghoneim noted that the words of appreciation from the international, regional institutions and organizations, in addition to the African brothers reflect the great role of the African Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, under the directives of Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to support the African Countries that need logistic and humanitarian aids for facing the urgent crisis, and in providing the basic food requirements, medicines, and serums, as well as the institutional support with the purpose of improving the capabilities of the African Countries to provide the basic services for the citizens especially the poor and those with a low-income.
