17 January 2008… Secretary General of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, Ambassador Nevin El-Ashmawi, stated that under the directives of Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Egypt has presented food and logistic assistance to Kenya, which included camps, cooking utensils and water detergents. The aid comes within the framework of Egypt's cooperation in alleviating the suffering of the Kenyan peoples afflicted with the political violence, which resulted in the emigration and displacement of many Kenyans.
