A training course to develop the skills of security cadres

Within the framework of Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit's directives to develop relations with the different African peoples and countries,  with the purpose of highlighting Egypt's leading and pivotal role in concurrence with the priorities of Egypt's foreign policy, the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa organized a training course for a period of one month for 25 of the African security cadres in the field of "Developing the Security Leadership Skills", in cooperation with the Mubarak Academy for Security (Police Research Center).

The Secretary General of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, Ambassador Tarek Ghoneim, attended the closing ceremony for this course, where cadres from various countries participated such as Uganda, Central Africa, Gabon, Congo Brazzaville, Niger, Senegal, Somalia, Burundi, Benin, Togo, Tanzania, Comoros, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Mali, Madagascar and Namibia.

The course focused on developing the skills of these leaderships by practically training them on methods of inspecting people, vehicles, places, and confiscating weapons and restoring them to the National Institute for Guardianship and Security affiliated to the General  Department for the Special Guardianship Police, and with the participation of officers and personnel of the Institute, in order to develop the security working methods in their countries, in view of the security challenges facing the international community in general and Africa in particular, and the importance of security to achieve stability in these countries, which is considered the main pillar for economic and social development.
