Within the framework of strengthening Egyptian relations with the Caucasus countries, the Egyptian Fund For Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth hosted two Georgian university professors; Dr. Giuli Alasania, Peace Ambassador and Vice Rector of the International Black Sea University (IBSU), (Georgian President’s mother), as well as Dr. Manana Sanadze, Director of Georgian University of Social Sciences (GUSS, Tbilisi), during the period from 21 to 28 September 2007, and the Fund afforded their travel and accommodation expenses.
The Fund prepared a rich program for its guests to enhance bonds and relations between the Georgian universities and the various Egyptian universities and research centers.
The Fund's Secretariat received a letter of thanks from the Georgian Embassy in Cairo, expressing gratitude for the Fund's Secretary-General and staff for their efforts which resulted in a positive impact on supporting and strengthening Egyptian-Georgian relations.
