The activities of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth during April 2008

First: the training courses:

The General Secretariat of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth held 12 training courses during April 2008 in the various fields as follows:

 

  • A training session in the field of Police "Combating Organized Crime" for 19 trainees from Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period from 28/3/2008 to 27/4/2008 at the Police Research Center.
  • A training session in the field of tourism for 12 trainees from Kazakhstan during the period from 4/4/2008 to 19/4/2008 in the National Research Center.
  • A training session in the field of "Islamic Culture and Studies" for 16 trainees from Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period from 5/4/2008 to 21/4/2008 in the Arabic Language Center at the Cairo University.
  • A joint session in the field of Police "Combating organized crime" for 21 trainees from Tajikistan and Uzbekistan during the period from 6/4/2008 to 6/5/2008 in the Police Research Center.
  • A training session in the field of "Economics and Trade" for 14 trainees from Azerbaijan during the period from 11/4/2008 to 25/4/2008 in the Operational Unit for the Development Assistance (OUDA).
  • A session in the field of "Islamic Culture" for 12 trainees from the Republic of Azerbaijan during the period from 18/4/2008 to 30/4/2008 in the Arabic Language Center at the Cairo University.
  • A training session in the field of Police for cadres from Moldova "Combating Crimes related to Information Technology and Media" during the period from 18/4/2008 to 21/4/2008 in the Police Research Center.
  • A session in "medical care" for 10 trainees from Georgia during the period from 21/4/2008 to 5/5/2008 in the National Research Center.
  • A training session in the field of tourism for 13 trainees from Turkmenistan during the period from 25/4/2008 to 9/5/2008 in the National Research Center.
  • A training session in the field of "Diplomacy" for 8 cadres from Kyrgyzstan during the period from 27/4/2008 to 13/5/2008 in the Institute for Diplomatic Studies.
  • A training session in the field of Police "Combating crimes related to Information Technology and Media" for 20 trainees from Kazakhstan during the period from 27/4/2008 to 21/5/2008.
  • A training session in the field of tourism for 12 trainees from Uzbekistan during the period from 29/4/2008 to 13/5/2008 in the National Research Center.

Secretary General, Ambassador Safia Ibrahim Amin, inaugurated the courses and will participate in their ending protocols at the various training headquarters according to the scheduled time.

 

Second: the other Activities:

  • The General Secretariat assumed the traveling tickets for two students in the Art Academy in Tashkent, for their participation in building the statue of the Egyptian sculptor Mahmoud Mokhtar, while travelling among the Uzbekistani delegation to Egypt during the period from 1 to 15 April upon an invitation from the Faculty of Artistic Education. The aim is to achieve communication between Faculty of Artistic Education in Tashkent, and its counterpart in Egypt, and to boost cultural cooperation ties in the artistic field between the two countries.
  • The General Secretariat offered a financial contribution of $3000 in April for the "Children First" Association in Yerevan, headed by Armenian Foreign Minister's wife. The contribution aims to boost the activities of the association in educating needy children, especially teaching them Arabic Language, the matter which promotes bilateral relations.
