First: training Courses:

The General- Secretariat of the fund organized seven training courses in various fields, during February 2008, including:

-          A training course in the field of police "combating international terrorism" for 21 trainees from Kazakhstan, during the period from 2/2/2008 to 27/2/2008.

-          A training course in the field of "human resources management" for 15 trainees from Armenia, during the period from 3/2/2008 to 16/2/2008.

-          A training course in the field of agricultural for 15 trainees from Mongolia, during the period from 14/2/2008 to 28/2/2008.

-          A training course in the field of police "combating drugs" for 15 trainees from Kyrgyzstan, during the period from 15/2/2008 to 13/3/2008.

-          A training course in the field of agricultural "transmitting the technology of fruit and vegetables" for 15 trainees from Albania, during the period from 22/2/2008 to 7/3/2008.

-          A training course in the filed of electricity for 10 trainees from Armenia, during the period from 24/2/2008 to 8/3/2008.

-          A training course in the field of police "oil and gas energy security" for 22 trainees from Azerbaijan, during the period from 24/2/2008 to 23/3/2008.

Secretary General of the Fund Ambassador/ Safeya Ibrahim Amin, inaugurated these courses and will participate in their closing ceremonies in the various training locations according to the indicated schedules.

Second: other Activities:

The Secretariat General of the Fund undertook the traveling and residency expenses of the director of the national Library in Sarajevo, to participate in the activities of Cairo Book Fair, in the period from February 2nd to 8th 2008.

The fund presented a computer to the Arab Language Section in the Oriental Studies department at Yerevan State University, via the Egyptian Embassy in Yerevan.

The General Secretariat participated in buying some appliances to inaugurate a center for teaching Arabic language in the Urgench University, Khorezm State, via the Egyptian Embassy in Uzbekistan.
