Activities of the General -Secretariat of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth States during January 2008

First: Training Courses:

The General- Secretariat of the fund organized  five training courses in various fields including:

·        A training course in the field of economy and trade for trainees from the Kyrgyz Republic during the period from 4/1/2008 to 18/1/2008 for 10 trainees.

·        A training course in the field of customs for trainees from Albania during the period from 7/1/2008 to 20/1/2008 for 20 trainees.

·        A training course in the field of police "combating drugs" for trainees from Afghanistan during the period from 10/1/2008 to 9//2/2008 for 25 trainees.

·        A training course in the field of media for trainees from Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina during the period from 16/1/2008 to 30/1/2008 for 18 trainees.

·        A training course in the field of health and medical industries for trainees from Tajikistan during the period from 19/1/2008 to 5/2/2008 for six trainees.

Secretary General of the Fund Ambassador/ Safeya Ibrahim Amin, inaugurated these courses and will participate in their closing ceremonies in the various training locations according to the indicated schedules.

Second: Other Activities:

·        The Fund covered  the expenses of transporting medical equipment presented by the (Egyptian humanitarian  Relief Committee)  affiliated to the Egyptian Medical Syndicate to the ophthalmological  clinic  in the "Othman Rigovic Islamic School" in the city of Visoko in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Egyptian Embassy will deliver the assistance package and keep us informed with the media impact.

·        The fund presented a computer to the Arab Language Section in the Oriental Studies department at one of Georgia's universities.

·        The Secretariat General of the Fund undertook the travelling and residency expenses of two professors of Islamic Studies Faculty in Bosnia and Herzegovina to participate in the activities of Cairo Book Fair.
