26 December 2007… Within the framework of the Foreign Minister's instructions to expand cooperation activities with the countries within the domain of the activities of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Commonwealth, the Committee that consisted of the Fund's Secretariat headed by Ambassador, Safeya Ibrahim Ameen met with the Officials of the Cairo Demographic Center, headed by Dr. Abdel Ghani Mohamed Abdel Ghani, in December 2007. During the meeting both sides reviewed the results of the students from the Commonwealth Countries who were studying at the Center during 2007, and the new requests presented by the Cadres of the Countries included within the activity of the Fund, to study at the Center in 2008. Within this context, both sides agreed on a partnership to offer 10 scholarships in the field of the demographic studies, two of which are in the field of the private diploma, and eight in the general diploma, the selection considered specialization in the field of study and diversity between the countries that included Tajikistan(2), Kyrgyzstan(3), Albania(2), Kazakhstan(1), Moldova(1), Uzbekistan(1).
