Training sessions:

1.Republic of Albania: a training session for 26 trainees at the Police Research Center, during the period from 1/1/2007 till 30/1/2007.

2.Republic of Tajikistan: training course in the field of social studies  for 10 trainees at the National Center for Research, during the period from 4/1/2007 till 18/1/2007.

3.Republic of Mongolia: a training course for 9 trainees at the Police Research Center, during the period from 6/1/2007 till 6/2/2007.

4.Republic of  Armenia: a joint training course for 16 trainees at the Police Research Center, during the period from 6/1/2007 till 1/2/2007.

5.Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina: a training session for 10 trainees at the Center for Arabic Language and Islamic Studies in the field of Arabic and Islamic culture, during the period from 15/1/2007 till 30/1/2007.

6.Republic of Kazakhstan: a training session for 11 trainees at the National Tourism Research Center, during the period from 16/1/2007 till 24/1/2007.

7.Republic of Uzbekistan: two training courses; the first is a joint course in the field of police work for 4 trainees at the Police Research Center, during the period from 17/1/2007 till 14/2/2007, and the second course is in the field of agriculture for 15 trainees at the National Research Center during the period from 19/1/2007 to 4/2/2007.

8.Republic of Moldova: a joint training course in the field of police word for 20 trainees at the Police Research Center, during the period form 17/1/2007 till 14/2/2007.

8.Armenian, Albanian, and Mongolian Republics: a joint training course at the Police Research Center which will end on 31/1/2007.

The Cultural field:

Within the framework of enhancing cultural relations between the Fund and Cairo University, the Fund Secretariat hosted the General Manager of the National and University Library of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who is also a lecturer at the Cairo University Center for Teaching Arabic and Islamic Culture to Foreigners, Mr. Esmat Afijina, to participate in the Cairo International Book Fair. He highlighted Egypt's role in providing cultural and scientific enlightenment to the peoples of other countries and the Center's mission to  teach the Arabic language to non native speakers.

This was accomplished by Cairo University under the auspices of the University's Vice President for Social Services Affairs, Dr. Abdullah El-Tatawy, in cooperation with the Egyptian Fund for Technical Co-operation with the Commonwealth and newly independent Islamic states affiliated to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.
