Enlarging the scope of the activities of the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth by enhancing trilateral cooperation with the Islamic Development Bank

Within the framework of promoting cooperation with the countries included within the scope of the activities of the Egyptian Fund For Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth, and according to the Foreign Minister's directives to expand technical cooperation activities with all  countries at  all levels, including the trilateral and the multilateral cooperation, especially through regional and international organizations and institutions, the Secretariat-General of the Fund managed to boost trilateral cooperation ties with the Islamic Development Bank, in the negotiations held during December 2007. The two sides agreed to jointly fund a number of training courses for cadres from some Islamic countries, who are members of the Islamic Development Bank, to which the Fund extends its activities, those being Afghanistan, Albania, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan. The courses will be held during the new Hijra year 1429, which will start with January 2008. The courses encompass diverse fields including medicine, nursing, privatization, small and medium industries development, Arabic language and agriculture.
