Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with the Commonwealth States held a training course in the field of "Health and pharmaceutical Industries" for six senior officials in Tajikistan who work in the field of medicine and pharmaceuticals during the period from 19 January to 5 February 2008. During the course, the fund organized field visits to Suzanne Mubarak Hospital, which the Tajikistani delegation praised its high level performance. The delegation also visited the Naser Institute and hailed the progress achieved in the field of heart disease cure; in addition to a visit to the Egyptian pharmaceutical company "Sicam" where the delegation hailed the progress achieved in the field of pharmaceutical industry and the Egyptian expertise in this field. The head of the pharmaceutical sector in the Tajikistani Ministry of Health, who was also a member of the delegation, outlined his intention to contact the pharmaceutical companies in his country after his return, to urge them cooperate with Egypt in this field. The Egyptian pharmaceutical company "Sicam", on its part, announced its intention to invite the large pharmaceutical companies in Tajikistan to visit Egypt to discuss means of bilateral cooperation.
