Aboul Gheit receives a parliamentary delegation from the NATO member states

Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit received a parliamentary delegation from the NATO member states visiting Cairo.

Spokesman of the Foreign Ministry stated that Aboul Gheit reviewed with the delegation several issues of common concern, on the top of which were the crises in the Middle East, such as the situation in Lebanon, Palestine, and other crises of concern to Egypt in the region.

During the meeting, Aboul Gheit demonstrated the Egyptian point of view concerning the above-mentioned issues. The Minister also listened to the delegation’s assessment of the situation as to the relation between the region and the NATO, the Spokesman stated.

The Spokesman added that this meeting comes within a series of communications between the NATO and all its institutions on one hand and Egypt on the other hand, as being a key power in the Middle East, which NATO regularly seeks to know its views, assessments and visions concerning the events and conflicts in the region.
