The Joint Egyptian-Jordanian High-level Committee held its Fifteenth session in Amman from 10-11 December 1998. The Egyptian delegation was headed by Prime Minister Dr. Kamal El-Ganzouri. Other members participating in the work of the Committee were the Egyptian Minister of Electricity, Minister of Trade and Supply, Minister of Industry, Minister of Planning and Minister of Ministerial Cabinet Affairs and Follow-up.

The Committee resulted in the signing of fourteen protocols and agreements for enhancing cooperation between The Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashimite Kingdom of Jordan in numerous areas. Following is a list of signed agreements and protocols:

	Agreement for the Establishing of a Free Trade Area.
	Protocol on "Rules of Origin" for the Exchange of Commodities, (an annex to the Free Trade Area Agreement).
	Protocol for Bilateral Trade Cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply and the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade on exchange of expertise in the areas of economic and trade negotiations.
	Memorandum of Understanding between the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Supply and the Jordanian Ministry of Industry and Trade for coordination in the areas of trade legislation, measurement specifications and technical aspects of economic and commercial terminology.
	Protocol for Technical Cooperation between the Investment Promotion Authority in Jordan and the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones in Egypt, to discuss means of promoting bilateral cooperation in the areas of promoting and protecting investment.
	Agreement for Bilateral Administrative Cooperation and the Correct Application of Customs Laws.
	Agreement for Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Jordanian Ministry of Planning and the Egyptian Institute of National Planning in Cairo, in the areas of research, training, scientific consultation, exchange of experts and publications.
	Protocol for Technical Cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Electricity and Energy and the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
	Bilateral Agreement for Technical Cooperation in the field of Petroleum.
	Bilateral Agreement for Cooperation in the area of Fishery.
	Bilateral agreement for Cooperation in the Field of Administrative Development.
	Executive Program of Tourism set down for the years 1999- 2001.
	Executive Program of Cultural, Technical and Scientific Cooperation Scheduled for the years 1999-2001.
	Protocol for Technical Cooperation between The Unions of Egyptian and Jordanian Chambers of Commerce.
