Presidential decree No. 65 was issued on 20/2/2006, regarding approving the Agreement for establishing the Regional Disaster Management Center, which was signed in Nairobi within the framework of the Golden Spear Initiative on 15/8/2005. The decree was made according to clause 2, article 151 of the constitution. The resolution was approved by the Egyptian People's Assembly in its session on 16/5/2006, and was ratified by the Egyptian President on 19/5/2006.
