19 October 2006…. The Philippine Supreme Court organized a Global Forum on Liberty and Prosperity during the period from 18 to 20 october 2006. The forum aims at reviewing the experiences and viewpoints of the juridical institutions in the various countries in protecting liberty and materializing prosperity for the peoples of the world. The Chiefs of Supreme Courts in Canada, Lithuania, and Russia will participate in the forum as well as the Deputy Chiefs of Supreme Courts in Egypt, Indonesia, France, China, USA, Singapore and South Korea. Egypt will be represented in the Forum by Deputy Chief of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Dr. Adel Sherif Omar, who will present a paper highlighting the Egyptian expertise in the fields of protecting liberty and achieving prosperity.
