15 May 2007… During his participation in the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers (ICFM), held in Islamabad, Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, declared Egypt's accession the Islamic Committee concerned with the conditions of Muslims and the efforts of establishing peace in South Philippines. Aboul Gheit affirmed that the Egyptian decision comes within the framework of Egypt's ongoing keenness to play an active and effective role regarding all the Islamic world and Muslims issues all over the world.
