27 September ,2006.. The Kazakhstani parliament chose 21 parliamentarians to represent their country in the Egyptian Kazakhstani parliamentary Friendship association. The idea of establishing the association was proposed during the meeting of the  Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation with  the Minister of Culture and Information ,Ermukhamet Ertysbaev in 27th July 2006. Egypt was among the first countries to recognize Kazakhstani in December 1991 , and the establishment of diplomatic relations between both  countries was declared in April 1992 . There is currently a bilateral  political consultation mechanism and its  fourth session was held in Astana in March 2005 . There is also a joint committee and coordination  between both countries concerning the preparation of holding the fourth session.
