Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs and the Organization of American States, Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, received Director of the Americas Arab Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Nasser Baydoun at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting demonstrated the activities of the organization in creating a link between the businessmen in the Arab World and the American businessmen from Arab origins. It also tackled the American Arab Forum, and its message in sustaining dialogue between the Americas and the Arabs, through economic activities which can rise above the political and cultural disputes. He mentioned that the third session of the forum is to be held in Washington next May, stressing their need for the Arab countries support to make it a success. The forum aims to create a gathering of the active personalities from both sides in order to create dialogue and understanding, putting into consideration the timing that directly precedes the American presidency elections.
Assistant Foreign Minister, Ambassador Seif El-Nasr, received from Mr. Baydoun the formal invitation to Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to participate in the forum, where Mr. Baydoun outlined their keenness for his Excellency's attendance. Baydoun has, furthermore, requested the assistance of the Foreign Ministry to spread knowledge about the forum and to support their invitation for the parties concerned, the well-known personalities and the Arab Chambers of Commerce to participate. |
