Egypt presents medical assistance to the volcano victims in Ecuador

Egypt fostered the cooperation ties with Ecuador through its contribution   to relieving the aftermath of Ecuador's two disasters, Tungurahua volcano and the shores affected by the floods. The Egyptian Red Crescent presented medical assistance to the Ecuadorian victims of the two natural catastrophes.

The assistance, though symbolic, was appreciated by Ecuador. The Ecuadorian Foreign Ministry highlighted the event by publishing a statement, referring to its importance as being suitable for the conditions of the sufferers. The aid amount to nearly 50 thousand Egyptian Pounds, and was sent on 6 June.

Egypt has historical relations with Latin American countries, including Republic of Ecuador. The two sides maintain distinguished coordination regarding international and regional labour issues of mutual concern, internationally in addition to fields of bilateral relations as well as special between both sides.
