A visit for a delegation of senior US Congressmen and Senators’ assistants to Egypt during the period from May 23rd to 30th is currently under preparation. The delegation is to hold series of meetings in a number of ministries, governmental institutions, People's Assembly and research centers. Assistant Foreign Minister for the American Affairs and the Organization of American Countries, Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, stated.
Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr is to head a meeting at the Foreign Ministry Headquarters in the out set of the visit before the delegation members start the visit’s program. The meeting is to involve some political and technical sectors from the Foreign Ministry.
The delegation is to meet with the Minister of International Cooperation, Chief of Arab Affairs and National Security Committee at the Shura Council ambassador Mohammed Bassyouni, the National Council for Human Rights, National Council for Women, Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM), in addition to the Egyptian council for Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr asserted that the visit comes within the framework of continuous Egyptian-US dialogue at all levels. This will be an occasion to exchange views between parties, and provide the opportunity for the American part to be acquainted with the real political, economic and social situation and the volume of the achievements in all fields. |
