Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs receives American Deputy Under Secretary of State for Far East Affairs

Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs and the Organization of American States Affairs, Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, received on 17 May the American Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Far Eastern Affairs, Robert Danin, who is currently visiting Egypt.

During the meeting, viewpoints were exchanged regarding the situation in the Middle East particularly the Peace Process, and the situation in the Palestinian territories and Iraq.

The Egyptian-American bilateral relations were also deliberated, where both sides commended the progress and maturity of these relations, and its ability to endure through the current developments based on the bilateral friendship relations, and the strategic interests it constitutes for both countries.

The American official, on his part, praised Egypt's efforts in the Middle East region to achieve peace and stability, and commended the efforts of the Egyptian diplomacy, whose most recent result was the Sharm El-Sheikh Conference on Iraq and the Egyptian demarche to revive the Middle East Peace Process.
