Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs and the Organization of American States, Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, stated that preparations are underway for the visit of a delegation of senior US House of Representatives and the Senate staffers in the period from 18-24 August. The delegation is scheduled to hold a series of meetings in a number of ministries, governmental organizations and research centers. Ambassador Seif El-Nasr, who is scheduled to hold a meeting with the delegation with the participation of a number of public figures on 19 August, outlined that the visit comes within the framework of the Egyptian-US dialogue, which is carried out on all levels in line with the Foreign Ministry's plan to boost the Egyptian-US communications. It is also considered a good opportunity to exchange visions, and to inform the American side about the political, economic and social situation in Egypt and the achievements accomplished in all fields. The Assistant Foreign Minister also noted that, in addition to the Foreign Ministry, the delegation's schedule of meetings includes various organizations and councils concerned with the Egyptian-American relations such as the Ministry of Defense, the People's Assembly and the Shoura Council, the General Authority for Investment, Dar El-Iftaa, the National Council for Human Rights and the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood, since the previous visits had a good impact on the Egyptian-American bilateral relations.
