10 June 2007…. Assistant Foreign Minister for American Affairs, Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, started his official visit to Argentina by meeting with the Argentinean Foreign Minister, Khorkhe Tayana, to deliver him a written message from Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, which dealt with bilateral relations, and issues of mutual concern between both countries. The meeting tackled the means of promoting bilateral issues in the political and economic fields, and the existent cooperation and coordination between the Egyptian and the Argentinean diplomacies in the international Fora. Argentinean Foreign Minister delivered to Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr an official invitation to the Egyptian Foreign Minister to participate in the Ministerial Conference for the Arab Countries Summit with Latin America, which will be convened in the Argentinean Capital, Buenos Aires, in November 2007. Moreover, the round of political consultation was held between Egypt and Argentina, during which Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr headed the Egyptian delegation, while Deputy Foreign Minister Garcia Moritan headed the Argentinean delegation which comprised high officials at the Argentinean Foreign Ministry. The consultations focused on all political and economic issues of common interest, and showed the concurrence in the positions of the Egyptian and the Argentinean diplomacies, which reflects the existent coordination and cooperation between both countries in all the international Fora. On the level of Parliamentary relations, the Committee of Foreign Affairs in the Argentine Houses of Senate and Representative received Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr, where discussions were held with the Heads of the two committees and the Argentinean Parliamentarians members to the committees. The tackled the means of extending the channels of dialogue between the Parliamentarians in both countries. Ambassador Seif El-Nasr also reviewed the Egyptian Diplomatic efforts to restore peace in the Middle East region, and the means of attracting Argentinean investments and tourism to Egypt.  Ambassador Hatem Seif El-Nasr concluded his visit by delivering a lecture in the "Argentine Council for International Relations" on Egypt's vision on peace and development horizons in Middle East region, and the means of promoting the Arab-Latin relations in the economic fields in the 21st Century.
