25 March 2008…. 1- Abdel Halim Newira's musical band, as well as the artist Mohamed Tharwat is scheduled to participate at the celebrations organised by the Egyptian Cultural Bureau in Paris on the occasion of "El Mawold El Nabawy El Sharif" at the UNESCO hall during the period from 2 till 6 April 2008. 2- Egypt participates at the Montreal World Film Festival during the period from 21/8 till 1/9/2008, with two films "The 7 Colours of the Sky" and "Halim". 3- The Egyptian Embassy at Congo-Brazzaville organised an Egyptian cultural week during the period from 27 February till 8 March, which included 10 performances for the Drums of Nuba band as well as Egyptian fashion shows. 4- The fashion stylist Nawal El Assad (Ivoirian/French nationality with a Lebanese origin) organises 3 major fashion shows this year in three capitals under the name of "Egypt Queens". The shows start in Abidjan, Cairo, and ends in Paris. Nawal El Assad announced that year 2008 will be the year of the Egyptian culture to all her fashion lines as well as the theme of her shows.
