6 May 2008.... 1-Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosni, will visit Cuba during the period from 6-9 May 2008. The Minister will be accompanied by Secretary General of the Supreme Council for antiquities Zahi Hawas and Mohamed Ghoniem, General coordinator of the great Egyptian museum. The delegation will visit the Cuban Minister of Culture, and the Minister of Foreign Investment and International cooperation to explore aspects of cultural cooperation between Egypt and Cuba. An exhibition about Egypt will also be inaugurated at the National Library, José Marti. The delegation will visit the National Museum of fine Arts and will meet with its director. The two sides are expected to sign an Agreement on the protection of cultural property during the visit. 2- The Higher Council of Luxor City  was pleased to satisfy the wishes of the board of directors of the "Cleopatra Egyptian Italian Society" and "Europe Society for Culture and Arts", to hold the third Italian exhibition at one of the halls in Luxor for 10 days during the national festival of the city. 3- AL-Azhar University agreed, in principle to implement the program proposed by the Indonesian Ministry of justice to organise a joint training program with AL-Azhar University on Human Rights and Democracy from an Islamic perspective.
