Dr. Zahi Hawas, the Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities visited Bankok where he inaugurated the premiere of the Mysteries of Egypt film on 18 January . Mr Hawas also delivered a lecture on the recent archeological discoveries, in a cultural , touristic celebration for the Egyptian civilization in which several Thai officials participated foremost of which was the Thai Minister of tourism Suivite Yodmanee , and a number of accredited ambassadors in  Bangkok, press and  media people , and tourism companies in Thailand which organize tours to Egypt .

Chulalongkorn University also handed a certificate of achievement to Dr. Hawas in appreciation of his discoveries in Egypt
