The Third Egyptian-Korean Joint Cultural Committee was held on Sunday, September 16th, 2007, in Cairo, where a cultural cooperation program between both countries for the years 2007-2009 was signed. The works of this committee come within the framework of the cultural cooperation agreement, signed between the Egyptian and Korean Governments in 1988.

This program aims at strengthening the Egyptian-Korean existing friendship relations, and opening new joint cooperation horizons, especially in the cultural and educational fields.

The program included cooperation in the fields of higher and public education, cooperation in the cultural field, especially antiquities, translation and publication, in addition to cooperation in the fields of radio, television, information, youth, sports and tourism.
