Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry stated that Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit received Palestinian Minister of Detainees and Ex-detainees Affairs Eissa Qarqaa.

The Spokesman outlined that the meeting tackled the conditions of the Palestinian prisoners of war. The Palestinian Minister reviewed the conditions of the Palestinian prisoners of war and their relatives, and what they experience because of the practices of the occupying forces.

The Spokesman pointed out that during the meeting, Aboul Gheit affirmed Egypt’ support to the Palestinian cause, especially the issue of the prisoners of war, which Egypt prioritizes, as it affects the sentiments of the Palestinian People. Aboul Gheit also asserted that Egypt relentlessly works on resolving the issue of prisoners of war and releasing them. Foreign Minister Aboul Gheit expressed his appreciation of the endurance of the relatives of the prisoners of war, who sacrifice their lives for liberation and establishment of the Palestinian State.
