8 April 2007… Within the framework of the continuous consultations between Egypt and Turkey concerning regional issues of common interest, Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Ambassador Fatma Al Zahraa Etman, received Director of the Middle East Department at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bozkurt Aran, and the accompanying delegation, on 8 April 2007. The consultations tackled developments on the Palestinian arena in view of the resolution issued by the Riyadh Arab Summit, as well as the situation in Iraq and Lebanon. Both sides also discussed means of developing the economic and political bilateral relations to follow up the outcome of President Mubarak's latest visit to Ankara on 22 and 23 March 2007.
