8 October 2007…. Assistant Foreign Minister for European Affairs, Fatma El Zahraa Etman held a meeting with the Ambassadors of the European Union member States accredited in Cairo, on 8 October 2007, within the framework of the periodical meetings she  organizes with the Ambassadors to discuss the regional issues of common interest. The meeting concentrated on the Autumn meeting scheduled to be held in the United States, which aims at activating the peace process, and Egypt's stance concerning this meeting. It also focused on the contacts Egypt made with the Arab and international parties in this regard. In addition to that the meeting tackled the developments of the situation in Palestine. Noteworthy, that Counselor Badr Abdel- Aty, Director of Palestine Affairs department in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry participated in the meeting.
