Assistant Foreign Minister for African and AU Affairs conducted a visit to Togo during which he conveyed a message from Foreign Minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, to his Togolese counterpart regarding the means of pushing forward bilateral relations.
Ambassador Nasser and Egyptian ambassador to Lome participated in the ceremony of presenting medical aid and equipments, offered by the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa, to the Togolese government. This assistance has previously been approved by the Egyptian Foreign Minister in addition to other food packages to Togo.
The Togolese Minister of Health and the General-Secretary of the Togolese Foreign Ministry expressed their appreciation for the Egyptian initiative, which comes within the framework of the special bilateral relations and the Egyptian keenness to support African countries in time of crises.
Assistant Foreign Minister for African and AU Affairs congratulated the Togolese side on the success of the recent parliamentary elections which represented a step towards reform, development and stability in Togo. |
