Within the framework of the efforts exerted by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry and activating the economic and commercial cooperation between Egypt and the African countries, Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs and the African Union Affairs, Ambassador Shamel Naser, held a meeting between the African ambassadors accredited in Cairo and the representatives of 31 Egyptian grand corporations in the field of trade with Africa, including Orascom, Toshiba El-Arabi, Arab Contractors, El-Egazi Group and El-Seweedi Cooperation.
During the meeting, opportunities and means to activate commercial exchange between Egypt and the African countries, and the challenges which confront the Egyptian investment in Africa were discussed.
Ambassador Naser asserted Egypt's keenness on boosting the opportunities of economic and commercial cooperation with the African countries to rise to the level of the significant political relations between the two sides, and work on following up the implementation of all the initiatives and ideas in this regard, including the African countries participation in the International Cairo Exhibition scheduled to be held next March.
