Eighteen Ambassadors and representatives of African countries visit the Smart Village

Assistant Minister for African Affairs and African Union Affairs, Ambassador Shamel Naser, stated that Egyptian Foreign Ministry in coordination with Ministry of Communication and Information Technology organized a visit to the Smart Village, for the African ambassadors accredited to Cairo, on January 17th, 2008.

Eighteen ambassadors and representatives of African countries participated in the visit. A representative of Ministry of Communication and Information Technology presented the Ministry's most important activities and achievements, affirming Egypt's comparative advantages in this field compared to other competitors , due to Egypt's geographical location where a number of underground cables pass, the low cost of manpower, in addition to a large number  of persons who have full command over foreign languages, and the great addition  information technology could provide for the Egyptian national economy currently and in the future under such advantages.

The Smart Village official and the delegation paid an inspection visit to the  project, where in the official delivered a speech during which she shed light on the Village's administration, capacities, and different facilities provided to investors that can be emulated by  other African countries. The official also organized two tours, the first to Xceed Call Centre to examine its distinctive capabilities. The second to Cultnat specialized in protecting natural cultural heritage.
