Egyptian and Kuwaiti Coordinate Efforts to Stop Israeli Attacks on the Gaza Strip
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed Egypt's delegation to the Arab Ministerial Emergency Meeting held in Cairo on Monday, July 14th 2014 upon an invitation from Kuwait, head of the current Arab Summit and supported by Egypt to ensure the holding of the meeting in order to discuss the critical situation in the occupied Palestinian territories in light of the continued Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, further to working to immediately halting bloodshed of innocent Palestinian civilians the and formulating a unified Arab stance in this regard.
During the recent telephone call between Minister Sameh Shoukry and Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the two ministers agreed on coordinating stances between the two countries in preparation for the emergency Arab meeting to ensure that its conclusions would contribute to stopping the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian people.
The two ministers agreed upon convening the Joint Commission meeting concerned with promoting bilateral relations in the various political, economic, trade and consulate fields thus fulfilling the interests of both people.
Noteworthy, Minister Sameh Shoukry had cancelled his visit to Tunisia to participate in the meetings of the neighboring countries of Libya to stay in Cairo to pursue following-up communications on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and prepare for the emergency Arab ministerial meetings.
