Concluding a number of training courses for cadres from African and Commonwealth countries


The Police Research Centre concluded a number of collective training courses in the field of security, on Tuesday 22/9/2015, in the presence of Director of the Police Research Centre General Dr. Mohammed Ashmawy, and Deputy Director of the Centre General Hossam Wafik. These courses were organized by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) affiliated to the Foreign Ministry from August 29 till September 24, 2015, in cooperation with the Police Research Centre in the Police Academy, with a total of 130 trainees from African and Commonwealth countries, in the presence of the EAPD Deputy Secretary-General Minister Plenipotentiary Mohammed Khalil.

Minister Plenipotentiary Mohammed Khalil delivered a speech on behalf of Secretary General of the EAPD Ambassador Dr. Hazem Fahmy, which stressed that such collective courses for this number of trainees come as a quick r  esponse to the requests presented to the EAPD by many African sisterly countries to meet their training needs in a number of security fields. Ha also affirmed that the Egyptian training capabilities are highly qualified just like  the  capabilities of the developed countries in the security aspects, in addition to the Egyptian trainers' good communication skills in training the cadres.

The security courses for the African cadres included a course in the field of "combating terrorism" with a total number of 73 trainees from 29 countries, and in the field of "police operations and resolving riot," with a total number of 40 trainees from 20 countries, as well as course for cadres of the Commonwealth countries in the field of "combating extremism and terrorism "With a total of 17 trainees from four countries (Mongolia - Kazakhstan - Moldova - Ukraine). For their part, the participants expressed their deep thanks and appreciation for the Foreign Ministry represented in the EAPD, as well as the Police Research Centre on the great training program, ​​the warm reception and providing the opportunity to participate in such courses.
