The medical training session of the African countries in the field of "dialysis", was concluded on Thursday, December 17th, 2015 organized by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) affiliated to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Dr. Mohamed Ghoneim center for the treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases, Mansoura University during the period from 13th to 17th of December, 2015, the session included 28 doctors from 15 African countries. Ambassador Dr. Hazem Fahmy, Secretary General of the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development, Dr. Said Abdul Hadi, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Dr. Ahmad Shukair, head of the center, participated in the closing ceremony.
In his speech, the Secretary General of the agency pointed to the importance of constructive cooperation between the agency and Dr. Mohamed Ghoneim Center, which would contribute to the support of African countries economically, socially and in the field of health, through training programs to be organized by EAPD in cooperation with the specialized centers in the fields of health, especially in the field of (kidney disease and urinary tract).
The participants expressed their gratitude to Egypt for offering technical support and expertise to African countries and contributing continuously to build their countries capabilities in various fields. They also expressed their happiness of their stay in Egypt and their wish to increase such specialized courses and technical support from Egypt in light of the benefits and experience they gained from the training program, which they will be keen to transfer to their colleagues in their countries. They sent their thanks to the Egyptian people and the government represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the warm reception and excellent organization of the training session.
